READY STEADY GO: Museums inclusive
The National Museums in Berlin are becoming more inclusive. The occasion is the Special Olympics World Games, which will take place in Berlin in 2023. Athletes and museum visitors, players from Berlin and around the world will come together for a cultural programme on Museum Island.
The educational programme as part of the Special Olympics was developed by an inclusive team of Thikwa artists and art educators from Haus Bastian. The focus here was on sport and art. The team found inspiration in the collections of Altes Museum. Visitors to the museum island were able to try their hand at four different stations centred around the theme of sport and movement.
