Taking their lead from Guy Devord’s Dérive-theory of drifting, the artists Louis Edler and Álvaro Martínez-Alonso became soundhunters in the streets of Berlin.
Journeys on the U-Bahn (Berliner subway), conversations with strangers, tourist attractions, parks, traffic or Turkish markets were some of the captured themes of their wanderings. The aim of the project was to experience the city from a new perspective, to pay more attention to sounds and noises than to sights, and to deliberately take the path less known.
